Services

When and Where

10.30am, at 8 Governors Place, Carrickfergus. Park in the castle car-park (you can’t miss it!) and we’re just across the street behind the big silver gates.

What to Expect

You can expect the service to run from about 10.30 to 12pm, beginning with some contemporary musical worship leading to a time of sharing and reflection on what God may be saying to us as a community.  Don’t worry there are no formal ‘greeters’ at the door to accost you on the way in, but there are a lot of lovely warm people who will probably want to say hello!  There is usually a cup of coffee before (if you’re early!) and after the service, so please feel free to look around and ask any questions you may have!

Why do we gather?
We’re convinced that the essential message of Jesus is that it is possible for anyone to lead a life of eternal significance. In other words, God wants everyone to experience the best, the most rewarding and fullest life that can possibly be lived; which we are finding means a life rightly aligned with Him.

Our purpose then when we gather on a Sunday is to spur each other on in this journey of discovery – through worshiping, sharing, praying and being together. So no matter where you are personally on this journey (even if you haven’t begun!) you’re in good company as we explore real life together.

What should I wear?
There is no dress code, simply come as you are. As long as you are wearing something you’ll be just fine!

What about children?
Children are of course a big part of our Sunday gathering and are encouraged to participate throughout. About half way through the service children of primary school age are invited to attend an informal Sunday school session in a room adjacent the main meeting hall. We also have a happy and supervised crèche for younger children and infants, along with baby change facilities.

It’s worth saying that we take seriously our duty of care towards children. Our guidelines and policies for both Sunday school and crèche programmes can be viewed here.
