Stuff we’re in to
Diversity : It’s really nothing special to get a group of people together who all believe the same things. What’s really amazing is when a diverse group at different stages of spiritual discovery works out how to love each other well, and to explore God together.
We’re not trying to make everyone like us – what we would love instead would be to see what it would look like for you to really come alive. We are convinced that God is in the restoration business, and a restored you doesn’t have to look like a restored someone else. The real question is, what’s holding you back from living the kind of real life you were uniquley intended for?
Beauty : From the moment God called the dark, murky & chaotic gasses of this planet into order, He has never stopped bringing beauty into our world – right up to the present day. Whenever we see the beauty, we call it ‘the kingdom of God’, and it has been breaking over the earth ever since Genesis and will continue until the restoration of everything is complete. Right now, we’re somewhere in the middle.
As followers of Jesus, we partner with God in bringing beauty into the ugly places still left in our communities, bringing His light, His love and His kingdom into the lives of those around us. The creation isn’t finished yet. What will you bring?
Journey : No two people are at the same place in their journey with God, and there isn’t a single person alive whom God does not passionately pursue. It isn’t about believing the right things, or even behaving the right way. It’s about realising that we are loved now, and that we will be loved tomorrow, no matter which direction your journey is going.
For many of us, knowing this just compels us to want to explore God more, and makes us want to respond to His love for us. This is what we call ‘grace’, and none of us would be here without it. It’s not about who you were or even who you are – but about who you are becoming.
Simplicity : Do you ever feel that God is far away? That may be because of all the layers and comlexities of life that seem to squeeze out any sense of how near God actualy is. In today’s world we often live in social and technological bubbles and can easliy go months without any signifacnt moments of quiet or without even putting our bare feet on the grass – and we wonder why God and his creation seem so… distant.
So what if there was a simpler way to live? How do we get connected again with creation, our own spirits and with God? Join us, help us – as we try and work out how to live more deeply – amd more simply. There must be a better way.
