This September we begin a new series during our Sunday learning space where we will grapple with the “future question” – asking how we can lean into our faith in such a way that makes sense in tomorrow’s world. Another way to look at it might be to ask “What kind of faith is needed from tomorrow’s Christian, if we are to live positively into the world before us?”

‘Facing Forward’ is a series aimed at giving today’s Christian a renewed hope and faith for tomorrow.

Which way are you facing?

Beginning Friday 3 September, Gateway will be open on the first Friday evening of each month for anyone to join in shared devotional practice. This is an opportunity to intentionally engage with God in a variety of ways. Whether it’s to engage a need with prayer, sit silently and listen, seek healing or just sing out loud – why not make this monthly event a normal part of your spiritual discipline routine?

Let’s be honest that getting ‘face down’ before God isn’t always an easy thing to do, mainly because it goes against our self reliant and self centred culture. That said it’s hard to imagine how spiritual formation could truly happen if we never make space for intentional, shared devotional practice. Once a month why not put Facebook down, and get your face down instead!
